Type as a Metaphor: Trypophobia

November 2022

Trypophobia: the strong fear or disgust of clustered patterns of tiny and repeated holes. This project was created for my Graphic Design I class for our "Type as a Metaphor" project, focused on using sentences, singular words, syllables, and individual letters to portray a concept. For this project, I used the motif of the letter "o" to represent holes and hand-cut every letter to create depth and real holes. As someone who experiences trypophobia, this project was quite the test in endurance, patience, and deep breaths.

Work in Progress
